Sunday Dinner

We thought we'd share our conference Sunday with you. It started out with breakfast casserole and fruit at Delos and Misty's house, watching conference on 3 different HDTV's. Then everyone rode bikes over to our house for Sunday dinner later that afternoon. We all enjoyed yummy bundt cake! Mom cuts like a pro.

Misty and Alex enjoyed Lindsay Lohan's masterpiece, "The Parent Trap"...

...while Noah and I took some time to smell the daffodils...

...then we all got ready to go 4-wheeling (man, did you guys miss a fun day)...

... after which we all jumped on a deer and rode off into the sunset.

Family Home Evening

We started with a nice fire to roast hot dogs, but realized we'd forgotten to bring skewers. Delos whittled down a stick he found and began roasting. But after he proceeded to drop six hot dogs into the fire (well, he did five and I did one).......then Dad found some old hangers in the trash that we decided to use (no, I'm not kidding).

...while David and Alex enjoyed some trash-hanger-s'mores. After Alex ate hers, she proceeded to roll around in the dirt to get the maximum amount of dirt stuck to the marshmallow face.

...while Dad rocked Noah to sleep.

We finished with a lesson about Jesus casting the money-changers out of the temple and a rousing rendition of "Happy Family". A good time was had by all.

Here we go, now I can post. Some picts from our trip to LV and St. Georgie for the MWC Tournment. Also made it to Zions and Kolob.

I've been thinking about Aspen Grove lately so I found the tentative itinerary that tells us what we'll be doing every day. I also looked at FAQ's and found that there are a washer and dryer in the family lodges, but they're coin operated. At least that's something! I want to do the ropes course and paint ball but I just don't know if Noah's going to go with his group....he'll probably still be taking at least 2 naps and I'll still be nursing. Ugh. Hopefully it works out though, because it sounds like it could be fun! Especially the pottery classes....

Amy Wolf is selling this stuff and the swimsuits are SOOOOO cute. I don't know how expensive it is (no prices on website) but I want to go over to Amy's and get a swimsuit with one of those cute skirts! I bet they cost a lot though.

A Beautiful Day in our Nation's Capitol



Saturday was the perfect day that allowed us to just "get away from it all". We took a day trip to Washington D.C. to see my sister Heidi, and to see only a few of the magnificent sights there. It was Caleb's and Holly's first time to the Natural History Museum. We took a leisurely stroll down The Mall and basked in the gorgeous 60 degree weather (when it was only in the 20s the day before)as James chased around with Caleb. James said it reminded him a lot of when he was young how he used to play soccer with his friends on that very field. James took the boys into the Space Museum while the girls chatted and munched on goodies while enjoying the day. We didn't get home that night until almost 10pm. I managed to get a picture of Caleb on the ride there. . . and on the ride home. BOY do we know how to PARTY!

Now we REALLY need to move!
