Bedroom Makeover

You all know nobody likes a good makeover like I do. Well, we've spent the past several weekends working on our bedroom. I've always wanted a bedroom that felt, well, like a retreat and mine very seldom does. Here are a few pictures "before" - and they were hastily taken after we started to move furniture in order to paint.

And here are a few "after" shots. I've wanted this bedding for a long time and I'm so happy to finally have a bedroom like I wanted.
We even found this cute little cozy chair and I got the throw to match our bedding.

After 10 years, we FINALLY framed one of our wedding portraits and actually put it on the wall.
Here's the master bathroom.

One more shot of the bathroom - we're still working on this, but I'm really happy with what we've done so far and it's been a lot of fun too. I never knew CJ was such a good decorator but he has a great eye for things. And he works for pretty cheap!

Very cute! I too would like a retreat, if we could ever get our piano out of our room

hilarious! love that you have a piano in there. at least the treadmill's gone. sara, where'd you get that picture above your chair? so pretty.

the bedside lamps are from linens and things - we got them about 1 year and a half ago. The picture above the chair is from hobby lobby. We just found it last weekend and I loved it too. There's another one to go with it but it's rectangular and we haven't decided where to put it yet, but I forced CJ to buy them both because I thought the prints and frames were so pretty.

Oh, I forgot to say that we didn't have the paint matched - it's not exactly the right color, but we matched it to a card and it looks good enough on the walls.

I'm gonna have to post another picture soon of the decorative towels I just found at Marshall's to hang in our tiny toilet room - they're awesome!

oh another thing I forgot to say - Ellen, maybe you could play Jared some romantic music on that piano in your room and make it feel a little more retreat-like!

We still have the ironing board and my ironing pile in our room - I just moved it for the pictures of course. How many retreats have ironing boards in 'em?

I think I'm finally done now...

Nothing like the feeling of relaxation once you complete a project like this! And now you've got a great place to go relax in!

Looks great Sara. You have become quite the interior decorator. We are excited about seeing all of you next week.

Have you seen that show, "'Til Death. . ." on FOX?? I think the couple in it has the exact same bedding!
