You may or may not remember the fiasco that was Father & Sons last year. Isaac and Dave drove all the way up to a camp that was above Heber...more than an hour away. He threw up, cut his lip, ran around like a crazy person, then woke up in the night screaming. They weren't in tents, mind you, they were in cabins with our entire ward. So rather than face the wrath of the men and boys, Dave opted to drive home. At 3:00 in the morning. And left all of their stuff there.
Well I'd like you all to know that this year, the campout was a success. It was only in Lehi, so it was much closer, and they got to use our cool new tent that I got at Costco (if you don't remember this post from before you have a very bad short-term memory, but just in case, my advice is to buy everything at Costco). We don't have sleeping bags so they just took an air mattress, also purchased at Costco, and sheets and blankets. It worked out great! Luckily, they didn't get eaten by a bear, as the poor kid in American Fork did...wait, is that poor taste to mention that? Sorry if it is. That is the saddest thing ever. Anyway, Isaac made it through the night and had a great time. They stayed up 'til midnight and woke up at 6:00 am, plus he woke up for an hour or so inbetween just for good measure, so there wasn't much sleeping going on. But he did like being in the tent. that's awesome. love the camping out. i hope our ward does one.

this year was much better. last year it was in october and it was freezing, so they couldn't even go out and have a fire. they just stayed in the cabins and watched movies. lame.
I was highly offended that you mentioned the boy who got eaten by a bear. Just kidding! You crack me up!
