We're back from Aspen Grove. We had so much fun. I'm too tired to do pictures right now, so I'll post more later.

This is baby Eliza, Ellen's fourth child (third daughter). Her favorite drink is Enfamil and her favorite food is steak with A1 sauce. She recently celebrated her first birthday and loves to ride trains. Her dream is to one day work at Jamba Juice.

This is Noah, Emily's second son. He hates to wear pants and loves to jump. He reads books like a fiend and loves to glue stuff. His orange shoes are his trademark and his favorite foods are tomatoes and olives.

This is Kate, Ellen's third child (second daughter). Kate is funny, sweet, and happy-go-lucky as all get out. She has super great hair and very small feet. Kate's favorite book is "The Old Man and the Sea" and her favorite movie is "Wall-E". Kate can type 42 wpm.

This is Austin. He loves to swim with fish (and sharks). He loves sports, especially handball and rhythmic dancing, and also loves exclamation marks. Austin is the oldest of 3 kids and loves his cousins, especially Noah.
Caleb is James and Holly's first son. He just started first grade. He loves Emily (the train) and hates Emily (his aunt). Caleb's favorite color is purple and his favorite food is shrimp & scallops. He can run like the wind and loves to climb trees.

Abby is Ellen's second kid, first daughter. She's a crackshot with a rifle from 2.4 inches away. Abby loves dolls, especially her swimming doll, playing (and laughing) with Isaac, going to preschool, and being outside. Abby loves black licorice and string beans. She's got beautiful shiny hair and very cute feet.

This is Summer Sue. She is the cutest 14-year-old on the planet. She plays every instrument ever made, including the piano, organ, clarinet, handbells, tuba, and saxophone. She has 7 boyfriends and 9 pets. Summer loves talking on the phone, surfing the web, and reading Twilight (while dreaming about Edward). She has long legs and loves band camp.

This is Ellen's little boy Luke. Luke is in kindergarten and loves going to school. He is very particular about specifics (like when a party should start, where the decorations should go, etc.). He loves his two sisters and skiing.

This is me (Emily). I love shooting things, mainly bottles and people. I have two sons and plan to have three more (sons). I love blogging, reading, and snipe hunting. I love Olive Garden's Fettucine Alfredo and playing the tambourine.

This is Misty. She joined the church when she was 15 in Arizona. She is quite literally the best at everything she does, and if she's not the best at something, that just means she hasn't tried it yet. She loves chocolate and baking and wishes for world peace. She loves to dance, especially hip hop dancing. She has 3 kids and one husband and lots of friends.

This is Alex. She is in 3rd grade. She loves to draw, dance, and talk. She is a really good baby-sitter and is very good at giving makeovers. Alex's favorite color is orange and her favorite animal is the hammerhead shark.

This is Dave F in his Lightning McQueen jammies at Aspen Grove. Dave played football in high school and walked on at BYU before his mission to St. Louis. He loves flag football, high school football, college football, and professional football. He likes throwing footballs and catching footballs. He plays on several fantasy football leagues. His favorite football team is the 49ers (he grew up in San Francisco, so he's not jumping on the Steve Young bandwagon). Dave got his masters degree from the U in December but I don't let him cheer for the Utes--GO COUGARS!--and works for the Utah State Health Department. He has 2 sons and 5 brothers.

Here is CJ on his recent Alaskan Fishing trip (with brother Eric, right). CJ attended medical school in Chicago, one day of residency in Utah, and now works for MD Anderson Cancer Hospital in Texas. He loves fishing, shopping, decorating his house, and dreams of winning the lottery one day so he can buy a really nice camper. CJ has 3 kids and Rachel likes him best.

This is Hannah. She got very wide in the last few minutes (when you compare this picture to the one her mom posted). She just started first grade and is learning Spanish already! Hannah loves Pixel Chicks, Dixie Chicks, Polly Pockets, and practicing the piano. Hannah loves going to school while it's still dark and letting her backpack reflectors shine.

This is Sara. She lives in and LOVES the state of Texas. She practices Texas Friendly Driving and especially loves the heat, humidity, and near-constant rain. She's going to Sea World in San Antonio this weekend because she really loves fish and dolphins. Sara loves sunburns and cashews. She recently had a brown recluse spider on her front porch.

This is Mom in Egypt I think. Mom was the first daughter and third kid in her family...third of ELEVEN. And that's no joke. My grandma was pregnant for like 15 years or something. Mom went to beauty school and once even owned her own beauty shop! She's a great quilter and sewer and cooker. Unfortunately, she also has arthritis which I believe I have inherited from her. Mom loves to read and buys a book just about every day.

This is James. James loves reading the Koran. He has two kids and one wife. Gym loves soccer, lawyering, and rich people. James has a pet rabbit that he named Hey Jude. James is good at painting and name-dropping.

This is Delos. He loves little children. Delos is a lawyer, and a good one at that since he has changed jobs about once a year since law school. He loves cats, walnuts, and pecans and his favorite cookie is chocolate chip. He's an excellent baker and reader, and loves to eat Mom's homemade salsa. He doesn't sleep well, but I don't know why because his bed is sooo comfortable. Delos has 3 kids and is a really good dad.

Jack is James and Holly's second (of five) boys. I'm not sure why this is the only picture on Delos and Misty's computer, but that's how Jack was chosen for this week's spotlight. Jack loves Oreos, zebras, and being shaken by his older brother Caleb. Jack aspires to play the air drums when he grows up in an '80s tribute air band. Jack's nickname is Jacky or Jack Jack, but some people just call him Steve.

This is Dad. He served his mission to the southern states with Parley P. Pratt. Dad wanted to be a pilot but his bad eyes forced him into his true calling, engineering. Dad has been married for 44 years and has 6 kids. He has been a bishop twice, a stake president, and currently serves as 1st counselor in the Bishopric.

Charlie likes to lounge about and eat bon bons. He loves Peter Pan, swordfighting, and Telemundo novellas. His favorite food is peanut M&M's, and he loves doing artwork, especially watercolors.

Aspen Grove rocks! I remember going there for a work retreat back in the day and it was so fun!
it was fun staying in a family lodge, but no way would it be fun staying in one of those teeny A-frame log cabins. Ugh.
