Today was Alex's 8th birthday! She woke up this morning to a fun surprise from her parents--a new bike!Then we had chicken Poppyseed for dinner and a yummy chocolate cake. 
We loved that cake!
Isaac and Noah gave her a glow-in-the-dark Care Bear, and me and Dave gave her a gift card to Jo-Ann's so she can buy something crafty. I think she had a nice day!

Thanks Em! that looked great. I can't believe you gave her your own presents too, that sure was nice! And you even made her a cake? Sounds like she had a great time. We were sorry to miss it. Can she ride that bike? You're the most amazing blogger ever. Two or three new things practically every day?
just yesterday, there was a lot of stuff to blog. she hasn't tried the bike yet. we weren't sure if she was allowed on sunday, and no time this morning. she was GUSHING about it though. we got it on video but it's 49 MB so i couldn't download it to youtube.
i'm mostly doing these blogs for you though so you don't miss your kids too much.
